Last Time

This is the last post for my journey through English 102. It has been an experience learning new things and especially this blog thing. It took me a while to get to us but it wasn't as bad as i thought it would be. So glad the year is over but it is also a little sad. Thinking next week I'll be home not sure if i like the thought of that. Guess I'll find out. Well so long to everyone, hope the future is bright!

Almost Done

Almost done with my first year in college I can't believe how fast the time has gone. I have so much stuff going on the last couple of weeks I'm so scared I'm going to forget about something important. Well lets hope I get through this week with two test and trying to get english done. If I survive this everything will be okay. T-Pain this weekend!!

the future...

So Osama's dead it's a great thing but what happens now? He is just one terrorist. There are still others out there that are going to hate or try to hurt us more. I'm kinda nervous that he followers will try and attack the U.S. again to try and get back at us. This was a huge step to trying to end things but in no way are things over. We will still have troops over there because there will be a new leader soon enough. As much as we would all like to think this will help, in my opinion all this is doing is making Osama's followers upset even more with us, but it was something that has to be done.

OMG!

Bin Laden is Dead!!! It's about time but also it's a little scary because the Taliban is still out there and could be mad. But right now this is huge. almost ten years after Sept. 11.

Finally the sun came out this morning. Not waking up to rain just starts the day off good. Well its only 10 lets hope the sun stays out and no rain today!!

Lost track of what week it is...

This weeks been going really good other then this rain. I would really like it to stop sometime soon. I feel a lot better about the things we are doing in english. Glad we have this time to make up some of the things we may have missed in the first few weeks. It really helps because the first few weeks are always the most hectic and I know i tend to forget things.

Literature Review

Every time we have thing to write for english I freak out just a little bit. I always get it done when it is due but the thought of doing it is so hard. At first for the literature review I was so confused of what we were suppose to do. It turned out to be a lot simpler then I thought it would be. Once i sat down and started writing it was easy. I got that done now on to the next thing.

My week

The past week went by really slow. I think it was the longest so far. I had paper and test in other classes and it was hard to get online to write a post. Hoping this week will go a lot better then last. Everything is falling into place where it should be. Homework is killing me right now but thats pretty much it. Lots of work to do...

week 1

This week has gone by so slow. I have had so much to work on and have been sick all week. Trying to work on papers and other homework has not helped me feel better.

Gun Control: Proposal

Gun Control

            Guns have been a problem in the United States for a number of years. People are dying and killing themselves everyday by using a gun. Gun control has always been a big debate in America; people do not like to talk about it though. Should we as citizens have our right to bear arms taken away? I believe that as citizens we should have the right to do or carry what we want to but I think there should be limits on it. Not every citizen of the United States is in the proper state to be carrying a gun around.

            Gun control is a very important issue that is not talked about enough. There are several reasons to why we should have gun control. In the U.S. you can get a gun as long as you do not have a criminal back ground but what about the people who buy guns that are not in the right mental state. Doing a back ground check is not enough when buying a gun I think that the person should have to take some kind of psychiatric test to prove that they are right in the head. If a person that has a mental issue buys a gun then goes and kills a person they most likely will not be charged. The judge would say they were not in the right state of mind and be put into a mental hospital just to be let out onto the streets in a few years when they are given the okay. This is just as bad as letting a criminal have a gun.

            I am not saying that nobody should have a gun but that we need to have tighter restrictions on guns. You should not be allowed to buy more then a certain number of guns. There are reasons to have guns and there are people who have guns just to have them. Hunting would be one reason why a person should have gun. Hunting is a part of society that we need to keep animals from reproducing to standards that the land cannot handle. If we were able to control who has a gun and for what reasons it would save many lives.

            Over all gun control is an issue that needs to be addressed. I feel that many people are scared to confront it because it has to do with taking away some peoples 2^nd amendment right but sometimes you cannot have all your rights you were born with. I am for gun control to stop some of the killings that happen. I believe that everyone should have the right to live and not be scared that someone might shoot him or her one-day. There needs to be stricter laws set when buying guns so they do not get in the hands of the wrong people. By setting stricter gun control laws it will help keep guns off the everyday streets and people dying from guns.

Paper Ideas

I really already new what I was going to write about in my paper. Gun control is a pretty big topic in the United States and it interest me. I am for gun control for the most part I believe yes some people should have the right to bare arms but a lot should not. I think that if there were set laws that would ban not only criminals from getting guns it would lower the number of murders that happen.
